Summer 2018 Tea Tasting Workshops

We are excited to announce our 2018 Summer Tea Tasting Workshop Series!

Join us on Friday “tea” evenings to learn about and experience the true flavors of specialty origin teas in our educational, interactive & fun tea tasting workshops!

Perfect for the novice or connoisseur alike, our series of workshops provides a guided exploration through the vast and complex world of specialty loose leaf origin teas and herbal tisanes. During each workshop, we will journey to tea-producing countries around the world to experience unique teas and cultural traditions, learn how to truly taste tea, and unlock the secrets of proper preparation methods for each tea type. A flight of six teas will be tasted and discussed in each workshop, except where indicated otherwise.

Tea & Chocolate Pairing – July 20th

Join us to indulge in five pairings of our specialty origin teas with small-batch, hand-crafted, bean-to-bar artisan chocolates from Fruition Chocolate. This award-winning chocolatier is among the top ten in the US and has won multiple awards in international chocolate competitions over the past two years.

Tea& Cheese Pairing – July 27th

Savor five pairings of our specialty origin teas with small-batch, hand-crafted, award-winning artisanal cheeses. Join us for a unique and tasty experience!  

 Infusion Methods – August 3rd

Western, Gong-Fu, cold brew. These are variousmethods used to prepare tea, but do the resulting infusions taste different? Yes they do! Join us to learn the fundamentals of these infusion methods and, more importantly, taste the difference.

Rare Teas of India – August 10th

We are expanding our offering of teas from the Doke Estate in the Bihar region of India and are adding some wonderful teas from the Donyi Polo Estate in the Arunachal Pradesh region of India. Join us to explore these small batch, hand-crafted artisan teas from lesser-known tea-producing regions of India.

 Teas of the US – August 17th

Join us for this popular workshop during which we explore teas grown and crafted in our own relative backyard – here in the US! Discover some truly rare, small batch, artisanal, hand-crafted US-grown teas, including several from Kristine’s personal “stash”.

Workshops take place at Infuse Tea Bar at 106 Main St., West Sayville. Each workshop begins promptly at 7:30PM & will last for approximately 90 minutes – longer if you would like to stay for the highly recommended second infusions. More tea? Yes please!

Cost is $30 per person. Pre-paid registrationis required & space is limited, so please sign up early! Attending each workshop is not required – just sign up for the ones that interest you the most. No refunds after registration, unless your spot can be filled.
